It was 1975. Terry Mann had already built a strong reputation with the W.J. Hancock Paint Company, earning recognition as one of the region's top salesmen. Along the way he envisioned a different kind of business — one that combined premium paint products with quality flooring solutions under one roof. At the time, the concept was well ahead of its era.

As Terry's success became known throughout the industry, respected businessman Dick Bruton took notice. The two men quickly discovered they shared the same values: hard work, craftsmanship, customer service and long-term relationships. From that partnership, Bruton & Mann Interiors was born.

Through the years, Terry has remained true to his original vision — building a flooring company rooted in integrity and excellence.

Scott's flooring education began early, shaped by his father Terry, who founded the business in Fort Worth in 1975 and built a reputation for craftsmanship and reliability.

“My first job was helping a tile crew install Pizza Hut kitchens across the country,” Scott says. “It taught me quickly how important prep work is.”

After 18 years in the family business, Scott stepped away to launch a commercial contracting firm serving national restaurant chains — a business he continues to run today — and in 2018 opened a sports card shop in West Fort Worth. When Terry brought the company back to Fort Worth and expanded into residential flooring, Scott returned to help lead the next chapter. Today he specializes in SPC and LVT plank, hardwood, tile, concrete polishing and resin flooring.

Our senior estimator, Shirl brings more than 30 years of distinguished experience in the commercial flooring and construction industry.

She has estimated and overseen projects for some of the region's most recognized hospitality and gaming destinations, including the world-famous WinStar casino resort at Thackerville, Oklahoma, the Choctaw casino resort in Durant and the Apache casino resort in Lawton.

Shirl is equally known for her gift of storytelling, often sharing firsthand memories from the early days of Oklahoma gaming — including meeting the original visionary behind the Thackerville property when operations were still being run out of a tent. With a sharp eye for detail and a personality that leaves a lasting impression, she brings both professionalism and perspective to every project she touches.
